Welcome to Didgeridoo Ragdolls in Deltona Florida, Didgeridoo is a small cattery and we breed these special Ragdolls to preserve all the wonderful traits for this breed of cats. We are CFA registered and GCCF (UK) Registered with the Mistylite prefix.

History

Ann Baker of California developed the first Ragdoll cat in the early 1960’s from a female named Josephine. This female was supposedly hit by a car, and lay on the street for two days. She was found injured but alive, then nursed back to health by a neighbor. According to Ann, Josephine's kittens born after this accident were very playful loving and relaxed. She claimed that Ragdolls felt no pain. Ragdolls do feel pain. Ragdolls are so friendly and gentle in fact, that they must not be allowed outdoors, for they do not suspect danger from other creatures, and will not run away or defend themselves.

About Ragdolls

Ragdoll cats are not just beautiful, but bred to have a sweet, docile personality. They are especially devoted to their owners. Each has its own unique personality.

Ragdoll cats follow (or LEAD) you around. They are always there at the door to greet us. When we stroke them, they have the most wonderful rabbit like fur, and are so soft and cuddly. All Ragdoll cats have stunning blue eyes and have wonderful, laid back personality. The Ragdoll has an exceptionally gentle, well-balanced temperament. Our cats want to be where we are they love human company and will follow us everywhere. Ragdolls are intelligent, playful, and affectionate. Our kittens are raised with in a loving home environment.
The Ragdoll is a irresistibly huggable cat, growing exceptionally large and heavy. Full maturity of size and color are not to be expected for at least four years. Males may reach fifteen pounds or larger. Females will weigh about ten pounds and will be smaller. The fur is long, silky, and non-matting. It flows into a luxurious ruff around the neck. The Ragdoll has feathery pantaloons on the back legs, and a fluffy tail. It has tufts of fur in the ears and between the toes. The Ragdoll also has a large furry muscle pendant on the abdomen, often referred as the "fatty pad". Adding to the Ragdoll's charm are its large, oval, deep blue eyes
